Benling India Energy & Technology launched a high-speed Aura electric scooter last year (2019) which is government approved with agencies like ICAT – International Centre of Automotive Technology. The electric scooter is manufactured in Benling plant in Manesar, Haryana.

1.       The Benling Aura is powered with 1200Watt BLDC electric motor and a detachable 72V/40Ah Lithium-ion battery. You can speed up to 60 km /hr and if you charge one time, it can last up to 110 to 120 km.

2.       You can charge this lithium-ion detachable battery using a conventional household power socket anywhere and anytime and it will only take up to 4 hours to charge fully – 100%.

3.       It offers the ground clearance of up to 165 mm weighing only 95 kg which is far better than a normal electric scooter which offers 130-150 mm.

4.       The Benling Aura Electric scooter is well-equipped with anti-theft alarm, a USB mobile charging facility and an added rear-wheel integrated with locking system. This safe electric scooter’s price ranges around Rs.90K INR.

5.       The Aura electric scooter is also featured with a remote keyless system that allows you to start and stop the vehicle within a few yards from the scooter.

6.       BSAS – Breakdown Smart Assistance  (BSAS) is a major feature of this scooter. This feature saves your day when there are issues with the controller, battery, BMS or motor that causes the vehicle to stop. If this ever happens, all you need is to press the BSAS button and the scooter will continue to run. There is no major drawback except the speed comes down to 15 to 20 Km per hour and the mileage will be affected.

7.       One more important feature that is worth mentioning here is its smart parking. If you stop the vehicle on standby to buy something off on the road, you don’t have to worry about the engine coming to a stop. On a touch of a smart parking button, the scooter will not move forward when you press the accelerator by accident.

8.       With the design elements, the Benling Aura is a lookalike of Vespa which gets a rounded headlamp, turn indicators, flat seats and a very large footboard. The fully digital instrument console is an added feature and is in-built with a GPS system to connect smart phones.

9.       You can infact opt for the GPS and Internet of things (IOT) as an optional addition if you want them to be. The whole suspension set up comprises a telescopic fork and the twin shock absorber in the rear.
